Personally, I'm not a big fan of the combo devices. Do you defintely need an all in one?

I really like my laser multifunction device (that sounds really geeky lol) We got the 1125 Dell Laser printer/scanner/copier/fax and I just checked and we paid $139 when we bought it during one of the Days of Deals.

right now it's $249 but they do have it on sale for much less every now and then.

I saw this deal in the tigerdirect email earlier, but I cannot comment on the quality or anything.

I really like the HP combo ones, even the cheapest ones that goes for $20 are awesome.
Although the drawback on the cheapest ones can be some annoying bugs like if you try to print with no paper in it then unless you reset it won't let you print.
Other than that they are great.

I was looking around the net about a week ago for somebody seeing if I could find a deal. One thing I found out is that you add a fax machine to the item the price goes up. If you dont need fax, then thats a bonus. How much money are you wanting to spend? I prefer laser printers over inkjet, if you dont need color. Ink cost more then toner. Staples has a laser mutifuction for $99.99 (but it has not fax) which is out of stock online for me, but I saw they had it in the store I checked. It was a Brother brand

We've usually had luck with an Epson, but the one we have now isn't that great. It's the Epson Stylus CX4200. Doesn't print as well as the one we had before. What I do like is that the color cartridges are separate so if you run out of one color you don't have to replace the whole color cartridge.

I had a Cannon and an Epson printer some years ago, never going to try those again...

Brother DCP 7020 at Staples, only $99.99. I got it when it was $140 but I like it alot. Its laser multifunction with scanner/copier/printer, no fax though, and only in B/W. But its great for the price.
Also, the toner is a little pricey @ $79.99. But costco.ca has it for $49.99 (good for 2500 pages), so perhaps you can try doing a price match. Some Staples store matches it but some don't claiming you require membership for costco, but wouln't hurt to try. Just point it out to them that costco.ca's price include S/H.

I am rather happy with my ImageClass MF4150. It works well from Windows, and as a copier/fax machine. I can get the toner at a good price on e-bay... There are Linux drivers available for download from Asia, but they don't appear to work.... So if you use Linux, this printer, like most multifunction printers is a paper weight.
