Kenton has a spectacular aura about Kenton has a spectacular aura about
ConsoleWatch - Find a Wii or PS3 or 360 Elite

We've made a friend in the online world. We would like to welcome ConsoleWatch to DealGuild. ConsoleWatch is the premier Canadian stock finder to make sure you can get your hands on a PS3, Wii or Wii accessories.

We've decided to invite them to DealGuild to give them a place to meet and greet with their supporters, plus it gives DealGuilders an opportunity to earn cashback on their purchases of these hot products through Sony Style, Toys 'R Us and The Source.

May 2nd EDIT:

OK, I made DealGuild cashback links for a bunch of systems and accessories:

The Source - 2.6% DealGuild cashback
You can get 2.6% DealGuild cashback on any online purchase from The Source. Just click through one of our DealGuild links. Here's direct links for two of the hottest items. Once you've clicked through you can also just search on The Source's site for the product numbers listed below.

Paper Mario: 5814114
Playstation 3- 60GB 5814114
Xbox360 Core: 5818002
Xbox360 Premium: 5818001

Sony Style - 2.25% DealGuild cashback
Earn 2.25% DealGuild cashback on your purchases from Sony Style
PS3-60GB: http://www.dealguild.com/forums/show...6462#post16462

Dell - 1% DealGuild cashback
Dell only sells XBox's, but here you go:
Xbox360 Elite: http://www.dealguild.com/deals/8259/...l-5-49-cashbac

Toys 'R Us - 3.25% DealGuild cashback
TRU is annoying and won't let us make direct links to their consoles, but we can offer higher cashback with them, so that's OK.
Just follow our DealGuild TRU link here: http://www.dealguild.com/toys-r-us then search for what you're wanting.

Thanks, Kenton! We know you console watchers are still going to be looking for consoles and accessories so we are keeping busy improving the site and adding things to it but we'll be checking in here regularly to keep in touch with you.

We've gotten a ton of great e-mails from people who have enjoyed our service but there was no way we could answer each e-mail individually so hopefully this will give you guys a way to talk with us and let us know how ConsoleWatch is working for you or how you'd like it to work!

We're also very excited about DealGuild's cashback plan. Getting a hot console before anyone else is one thing - getting money back on it is just unbelievable. To take advantage of this you would have to log into DealGuild and click into the stores through DealGuild's merchant page (now conveniently linked to from ConsoleWatch), not using the direct product link off ConsoleWatch.

Thanks, Mark.

To those who may be wondering, the frequent Wii alerts have been because Futureshop is seemingly dropping Wii's back into stock one at a time. It probably happens when an order is cancelled or otherwise fails to go through and the stock is freed up again.

Ah, I wondered what was going on there.

Thanks to CW I snagged a PS3 yesterday. I think a donation page should be set up so we can thank you for the work you've done with the site.

Thanks GordLacey, it's good to know we were able to help.

Another system update - some of you may have noticed that the ConsoleWatch server was a bit unresponsive today. Although we're using a pretty hefty server it was struggling under the load as a lot of people turned on auto-updating tools set to download our entire page (images and all) every second.

We want to reiterate what is stated on the site - the page auto-updates every 30 seconds. There is no benefit to checking the page every second, it is not going to change. We have had to take the unfortunate step of blocking IP's in order to keep ConsoleWatch running for the vast majority who use our site as it was meant to be used.

If you have had your IP blocked please let us know as soon as you have disabled your auto-refresh software and we'll put you back on. We don't want to prevent anyone from getting their console so this is not in any way personal, we won't hold it against you. Just let us know once it's safe to unblock your IP.

Thanks,

the ConsoleWatch team

Yeah, I managed to get a PS3 too last week b/c of you'll. Thanks a lot! Would've been tempted to buy more but it's not worth it now.

What really helped me though is, thanks to your RSS feed, I was able to set my reader to ping it every minute for updates and then notify me with a popup alert (like the ones you get in msn). Was one of the first to get it too when they was 50 in stock and I was near the top somewhere! Email alerts were getting too slow, even for Gmail.

People must be using the firefox extension called Check4Change that checks for elements of a page to be updated and then notify. You'll should also put a notice on your page to tell people to stop this.

You guys have any plans for Wii and PS3 S-Video, Component, and HDMI cables? They're getting pretty hard to find as well.

Don't shell out $100s on a cable at FS or BB. I got my HDMI->DVI cable for my ps3, including shipping for just $9.97

I'm looking for Wii S-Video cables which have become impossible to find, unless I want to pay $30 simply for shipping from Japan and China. If I was looking for HDMI cables however, I'll bet I would've already found some inexpensive ones.
